As far as our human bodies are concerned, death eventually captures all of us. No human being has yet managed to live forever. Even if we evolve new silicon bodies for ourselves and find a way to transfer our minds into them, there's no reason to believe those bodies will be immortal either (even with frequent upgrades). We may be able to delay death, perhaps even for a very long time, but eventually our physical existence will end at some point. Forever is too long for us to last as physical beings. No backup system is foolproof, especially when its opponent is the infinity of time.
On average more than 150,000 people die every day on this planet. That's 2 people per second. Over a million corpses a week. And this is "normal" for planet earth. Does this fact help you get some perspective on the scope of various tragedies? If 3000 people get wiped out in a single stroke, that's still only 2% of one day's total... hardly significant from a cosmic point of view.
Below is a video that would help us understand, what remains after death (Viewer discretion is advised)
What Avvaiyar says:
ஆண்டாண்டு(Aaandaandu) தோறும்(Thorum) அழுது(Azhuthu) புரண்டாலும்(Purandaalum)
மாண்டார்(Maandaar) வருவரோ(Varuvaro) மாநிலத்தீர்(Maanilaththeer)-வேண்டா(Vendaa)
நமக்கும்(Namakkum) அதுவழியே(Adhuvazhiye) நாம்போம்(Naampom) அளவும்(Alavum)
எமக்கென்னென்(Ymakkennenru) றிட்டுண்(Ittu Undu)டிரும்(Irum).
Will the dead come back alive, even if you mourn for years..Never! So, there is no need to mourn and wallow in pain and suffering, when the fact is: We have the same way to go.. Death is the universal fact and we can't escape it. Every living being has to meet its death one or the other day. So, the path is the same.. just the time to say our final goodbyes varies!

Given, death is an ultimate reality, never struggle so hard to earn money, power, fame and relationships. They won't last long anyways. Be like a lotus leaf, upon which water droplets stay, without sticking to it. Be like that, without having so much attachment to this world.
Live your life today, give alms to the needy, feed yourselves well and be happy always..Practise love and compassion.
